This is the first DNC that Philadelphia has hosted since 1948, and the city's political history will be out in full force. PoliticalFest returns with a one-of-a-kind celebration of our nation’s history, government and the road to the White House. Don’t miss the Donkeys Around Town, an installation of 57 fiberglass donkeys, each painted by a local artist to represent a participating Convention delegation and placed in publicly accessible locations across the city. A number of Philadelphia’s best museums have planned educational programs for all ages. The National Liberty Museum will host an exhibit on America’s First Families, with a display of White House china dating back to George Washington’s presidency. The National Constitution Center hosts an exhibit on the electoral process, plus trivia contests, and panels. The Heritage Center at the Union League takes a look back at the 11 political conventions Philadelphia has hosted between 1848 and 2000. C-SPAN’s official Campaign 2016 Bus will be available for tours and host other interactive exhibits.
Whether you wish to stay, dine or relax, The Rittenhouse offers a luxurious, inviting atmosphere during The 2016 Democratic National Convention.
