The Rittenhouse was proud to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2019. The symbol for this special milestone was the pearl — the traditional 30th-anniversary gem. To honor the past three decades, we filled the month with special events, offers, and designs that celebrated our history and channeled the subtle layers and luminous colors unique to pearls.

Guests who stayed with us in June 2019 were greeted upon arrival with a decadent chocolate pearl bon bon — the perfect way to start the celebration of our “pearl” anniversary month. Our boutique, Egan Rittenhouse, also added a floral cart, where guests could purchase a custom bouquet of lilies, the symbolic 30th anniversary flower.

And the iridescent nature of stays during our 30th anniversary didn’t stop there. All month long, guests sipped on exclusive, limited-time-only pearl martinis in the Library Bar.

\n

And no celebration would be complete without including Philadelphia. For every Rittenhouse Celebrates package a guest booked, we donated 30 meals to Broad Street Ministry. We donated two additional meals for every pearl martini ordered, and one additional meal for every $10 spent at the floral cart. All in all, this added up to more than 600 meals donated — and it was all thanks to our guests. As proud Philadelphians, there’s no better feeling than seeing the City of Brotherly Love earn its nickname.
