National Dog Day is on August 26th, a great time to remind our incoming and future guests that The Rittenhouse is a pet-friendly hotel in Philadelphia. Not only do we welcome your furry companions, we enthusiastically welcome them, especially with this celebratory event taking place. Started by an author and pet activist, National Dog Day raises awareness of the importance of rescue and adoption. So as you reflect this year, also make a plan to make the dog you have feel extra special. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s our brief guide on how to celebrate National Dog Day at The Rittenhouse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Book a Stay at The Rittenhouse<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Home to several of the largest hotel rooms in Philadelphia, The Rittenhouse is a fantastic place for travelers with dogs.<\/a> We offer everything you could need for our VIPs (Very Important Pooches). Upon arrival, each VIP will receive a personalized pet bowl and special dog treats prepared by our own pastry chef. Dog sitters and walkers can be arranged through the concierge for a fee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walk Around Rittenhouse Square & Neighborhood<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located right on Rittenhouse Square, The Rittenhouse give travelers with pets a convenient outdoor hangout. Head to the park anytime during your stay for some fresh air and a little stroll. If you need a pick-me-up before your walk, grab a coffee from nearby Vibrant Coffee Roasters<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explore Schuylkill River Park<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just a half-mile west of the hotel, Schuylkill River Park offers a larger outdoor space for you and your dog to explore. Stretch your legs along the Schuylkill River Trail and enjoy stunning views of the city. While you\u2019re at the River Park, be sure to stop by Big Dog Run. This five-star dog park is the perfect place to let your furry friend socialize with the local pups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Dog Parks in Philadelphia<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you want to head east and explore the rest of the city, there are plenty of dog parks to visit along the way. You can hit Seger Dog Park for some playing and hanging before visiting Philadelphia\u2019s Magic Gardens nearby. There\u2019s also Seger Dog Park, and Penn\u2019s Landing Dog Park on the other side of town on the Delaware River. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
