See a Stunning Performance of Swan Lake

Swan Lake @ The Kimmel Center
March 5-15, 2015

Swan Lake is a renowned crowd favorite that has taken to the stage across the country and around the world. Now you can catch this stunning production at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts for a limited time only. Check out the superb talent of the Pennsylvania Ballet, a gifted troupe that will bring new life to this classic story of the 19th century Russian ballet.
With a sweeping musical score by the master Tchaikovsky, the two-act folk tale takes on an epic struggle between good and evil. As a very famous ballet popularized in a major motion film, many are familiar with the magical storyline of spells and sorcery.

This particular production premiered in 2004 to both critical and popular acclaim. Since then, Wheeldon’s adaption has appeared among sold-out audiences at Edinburgh Film Festival and beyond. Behold the more modern version of this classic tale, re-imagined for today’s playgoers.  Admire the sets created in the vision of Edgar Degas, elaborate costumes and extraordinary choreography. Through the dancing and the drama, you are sure to fall in love with what is, at its very heart, one of the world’s great love stories.

Tickets are available now, so be sure to secure your spot at the show! The opening performance is Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.  Following another evening performance on Friday, make your way to the 2 p.m. matinees or an 8 p.m. show on Saturday, March 14.
