Where to Watch the Sunrise in Philadelphia
This fall, travelers staying at The Rittenhouse might want to consider getting up early to enjoy some of the city’s more scenic locations and watch the sunrise in Philadephia. Penn Treaty Park
Across town from The Rittenhouse, Penn Treaty Park offers a gorgeous overlook of the Delaware River and the east side of Philadelphia. If you drive there or take a car, then you can enjoy a long, scenic, hour-long walk back to the hotel and hit cool spots like the Cherry Street Pier, and Reading Terminal Market on the way back.

Boathouse Row
Just two miles up the Schuylkill River from The Rittenhouse, Boathouse Row might be the most beautiful place to spend sunrise in Philadelphia. This historic site features a row of colorful boat houses located on the east bank of the river, and the sight looks tremendous as the day first begins. From there, you’ll be at a good jumping-off point for exploring the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Barnes Foundation, and The Franklin Institute.

Back over on The Delaware River, Spruce Street Harbor Park offers another scenic hangout to take your sunrise adventures.
