With beautifully prepared leaf teas at its heart, this Philadelphia tea room celebrates the traditions of the great tea cultures, adding a dash of local flavor and some exquisitely re-imagined elements. The tea selection spans the world, from tisanes of local herbs and flowers to grand black and green teas of Asia. As an accompaniment, enjoy a selection of delightfully inspired and perfectly delicate sweets and savories with a view to seasonal ingredients and pairings with the wonderful teas served at The Rittenhouse's acclaimed tea room, Philadelphia's best.

Libertea at Mary Cassatt Tea Room
From June 25 through July 12, celebrate America's 250th anniversary with LiberTea, a limited-time tea experience inspired by the resourceful spirit of the Revolutionary era. Savor house-made Liberty Tea blends crafted with herbs and botanicals once favored by colonists, paired with patriotic pastries and seasonal sweets. For those looking to raise a glass, enjoy historically inspired cocktails including A Declaration, a colonial twist on a Tom Collins, and The 13, a spiced Manhattan honoring the original colonies.
Private Events
We welcome larger groups (15 or more) and celebrations to have an unforgettable experience at Mary Cassatt Tea Room set with a backdrop of soaring ceilings, European style, and floor-to-ceiling windows boasting views of our beautiful courtyard. Guests will enjoy individually plated tea sandwiches and beautiful compotiers with assorted scones and sweets to share complemented by a selection of tea curated by our tea expert and poured tableside. Various sparkling, wines, signature cocktails, and mocktails are also available.
