A New Chapter
Experience a reimagined Philadelphia icon in 2027
Beginning October 12, The Rittenhouse will embark on an extensive reimagining of its public spaces, introducing a new expression of the hotel inspired by the character of a remarkable home and The Rittenhouse’s singular place on the Square. The transformation will introduce a collection of new spaces for dining, gathering and discovery.
Among the additions will be Ruxton Steakhouse, alongside an intimate new bar. Richly layered interiors, fine craftsmanship and a sense of character and discovery will shape both spaces, offering new reasons to gather at The Rittenhouse from day into evening.
Enhancements will begin in fall 2026, while overnight guest stays remain uninterrupted. Modifications will be thoughtfully limited to designated hours from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
As part of this transformation, The Library Bar welcomes its last guest on October 31st, and Mary Cassatt Tea Room serves its last afternoon tea on November 15th. Lacroix will remain open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails.
Beginning in late spring 2027, the first of these new spaces will be revealed, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Rittenhouse.
