Hotel
What time is check-in and check-out?
The Rittenhouse Hotel offers a guaranteed check-in time of 3:00pm. Early check-ins are subject to availability at the time of arrival. There is no way to guarantee an early check-in unless the previous night is booked with instructions to pre-register.
Check-out is at 12:00pm. Late check-outs are subject to availability. Failure to vacate your room as scheduled may result in additional late checkout fees up to and including the cost of the subsequent night.
How far are you located from Penn, 30th Street Station, and the Airport?
Located on historic Rittenhouse Square, our hotel provides easy access to all center city Philadelphia centers of commerce and points of interest.
We are convenient to the University of Pennsylvania, located one mile away and a 15-minute drive during typical traffic conditions.
30th Street Station is less than one mile from The Rittenhouse, a 15-minute drive or 18-minute walk along pedestrian-friendly route.
We are located 7.6 miles from the Philadelphia Airport, approximately a 30 minute drive.
Please contact our Concierge for assistance with transportation including car service options from regional destinations.
Do you have shuttle service from the airport?
Our hotel does not offer a shuttle service, but private transportation can be arranged through our Concierge. Taxis and ride sharing services are readily available both at the airport and throughout the city.
What are the options for parking?
We offer overnight valet parking for $65 with unlimited in and out privileges, valid until 6pm on the day of departure and daily valet parking for $32 and $26 daily if validated by our restaurants or spa. Additionally, in our commitment to implement sustainable and innovative practices that benefit the environment, we now also offer electronic vehicle charging stations available with parking.
Patrons visiting our restaurants or spa can also receive a $10 discount off the daily parking rate. Patrons must present their receipt from the restaurant or spa for validation.
Do you allow pets?
One of the best pet friendly hotels in Philadelphia, Rittenhouse Hotel allows one pet per person at a rate of $150 per stay.
Please respect the following rules:
- Your pet should be housebroken.
- Your pet should remain leashed at all times while in public areas.
- Please ensure your dog refrains from barking and inconveniencing other guests.
- Cats must have their own litter tray.
- Pet accidents must be reported immediately to Housekeeping.
- While staff are servicing your room, your pet should be with you and out of the room, or securely caged in the room with you present.
- Your pet must never be left unattended in your room.
- If your plans mean you can't take your pet with you, call our Concierge in good time to arrange pet sitting and walking services.
- Please make arrangements regarding your pet at least 48 hours before arrival.
We have recently added a pet menu for your furry friend’s dining experience!
Does the hotel have facilities for business travelers?
Guests of the hotel enjoy access to our convenient business center. Even better, our property is located within walking distance of Philadelphia’s business district. For Philadelphia hotels with a business center, it doesn’t get much better.

Do your rooms have Jacuzzi tubs?
While some of our rooms offer soaking tubs, not all rooms provide this amenity.
Do any of your rooms have balconies?
None of our guest rooms offer balconies.
Do you have Netflix?
Our hotel rooms come complete with smart televisions and internet access, providing the ability to connect to your Netflix account.
What is your smoking policy?
All of our rooms and suites are non-smoking. Hotel will assess a $750.00 per night smoking fee should evidence of smoking be found.

Our hotel boasts some of the finest restaurants in Rittenhouse Square. We feature the following restaurants on property:
- Lacroix – our signature French-inspired restaurant, serving three meals a day
- Library Bar – an inviting cocktail lounge and bistro
- Scarpetta – Italian dining with views of Rittenhouse Square Park
- Mary Cassatt Tea Room – high tea and sandwiches
Do you have any kid-friendly restaurants on property?
All of our outlets are kid friendly.
What are your late-night dining options?
Our hotel offers 24-hour in-room dining.
Do the restaurants offer outdoor dining options?
Mary Cassatt Tea Room offers an outdoor terrace seating option (weather permitting).

Do you have a spa?
You’ll find a luxurious day spa at The Rittenhouse Spa & Club, offering a full menu of services that include massage therapies, body rituals, facials, and spa services for brides, grooms, and couples.
Do you have a pool?
Our hotel offers a quarter Olympic-size pool, which is 38 feet by 18 feet in size. The shallow end is four feet deep, and the deep end is seven feet deep.
Do I need to be an overnight guest to have access to the Spa?
All are welcome to indulge in our spa and salon with the purchase of a treatment or service.
