Philadelphia’s Most Coveted Supper Club Arrives at The Rittenhouse for a Six-Month Residency

The Rittenhouse welcomes one of Philadelphia’s most talked-about culinary experiences for a rare, limited residency.

From February 1 through July 26, 2026, Chef RJ Smith brings Ocho Supper Club to the hotel’s private dining salon overlooking Rittenhouse Square. Held every other Sunday, each evening is deliberately intimate with just 26 seats per service. The culinary experience is designed to feel less like a restaurant reservation and more like a dinner party invitation.

The residency offers a new way to experience Ocho. For the first time, guests may enter through a curated à la carte and cocktail experience before committing to the full tasting menu. The evening begins with craft cocktails inspired by Jamaican ingredients and traditional Caribbean techniques, developed in collaboration with James Beard Award-winning mixologist Danny Childs, alongside a rotating selection of refined small plates.

It’s a rare opportunity to step inside the world of Ocho—one that balances precision with warmth, tradition with invention, and fine dining with a sense of place.

Availability is released 30 days in advance and typically filled quickly. Reservations are required.

Founded by Chef RJ Smith, a Drexel University culinary student, Ocho Supper Club is an intimate Afro-Caribbean dining experience based in Philadelphia, celebrated for its refined tasting menus, cultural storytelling, and deeply personal hospitality.

The name Ocho draws inspiration from Ocho Rios, a coastal Jamaican city where tradition and modern life exist in quiet harmony. That duality defines the philosophy behind the menu. Through thoughtful technique, seasonal sourcing, and contemporary presentation, Ocho reimagines Caribbean flavors within a fine-dining framework—honoring heritage while confidently moving the cuisine forward.
